EĞİTİM FELSEFESİ BAĞLAMINDA NECMETTİN TOZLU’NUN ÖNEMİ / The Importance of Necmettin Tozlu in the Context of Philosophy of Education

Öz

Necmettin Tozlu eserleriyle Türkiye’deki felsefe çalışmalarına önemli katkılar sunmuştur. Özellikle eğitim felsefesi alanındaki eserleriyle tanınan Tozlu’yu, bu alanın önde gelen akademisyeni olarak nitelendirmek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada temel olarak onun felsefî anlayışı, felsefeyle eğitim arasında kurduğu ilişki ve eğitim felsefesi teorisi ele alınacaktır. Bu çerçevede ilk olarak onun üzerinde durduğu “felsefenin gaflette olan insanı uyandırma” özelliği irdelenecektir. İkinci adımda ise niçin insan merkezli bir eğitim anlayışının benimsenmesi gerektiği analiz edilecektir. Son tahlilde ise onun temel bir sav haline getirdiği felsefi sentez yöntemi analiz edilecektir. Bu yönteme göre eğitimde iyi aydınlatılmış gelenekle, iyi tahlil edilmiş modernliğin terkibinin uygulanması gerekmektedir.

Necmettin Tozlu has provided significant contributions to the study of philosophy in Turkey with his works. It is possible to describe Tozlu, especially known for his works in the field of educational philosophy, as a leading scholar in this field. This study will focus on his philosophical understanding, the relation between philosophy and education established by him, and his theory of educational philosophy. In this context, it will be examined the feature of "awakening of the philosophy the human from the misguidance" on which he stands. In the second step, it will be analyzed why we need to adopt a human-centered education concept. Finally, it will be analyzed the philosophical synthesis method which he has made a basic argument. According to this method, it is necessary to apply the combination of the well-enlightened tradition and well-tested modernity in the education.
